Day 1 - 120km - Ljubljana to Piran

Don’t leave the capital city without taking the opportunity to wander through the old town and enjoy sampling food street cafes and markets. The castle allows for great views across the rooftops The short journey to Piran passes Castles, caves and stud farms which are all worth a visit. Piran is a true resort town surrounded by beaches. Day 2 - 160km - Piran to Bovec

Rising from sea-level up to the foothills of the Alps doesn’t take very long. There are numerous places to stop along the way for spectacular views and scenery, and even a hike if you are adventurous!

Day 3 - 100km - Bovec to Bled

The highlights in this area are Lake Bled and Bled Castle. You can rent boats to go out on the lake or enjoy the views from the top of Mount Vogel

Day 4 - 180km - Bled to Logarska Dolina

This trip takes you to a spectacular glacial valley with opportunities for horse riding, hiking and cycling. The Logar Valley Landscape Park is worth a visit.

Day 5 - 125km - Logarska Dolina to Ptuj

Ptuj Castle houses a large collection featuring portraits to musical instruments and there are thermal spas in a number of wellness centres that should be explored

Day 6 - 130km - Ptuj to Ljubljana

A leisurely drive back to the capital, passing through rural towns and villages. You may wish to visit Maribor or Celje if you have the chance
